Summary
Rose Landry is an A List Hollywood actress who is introduced to the Heated Rivalry universe at the height of her career where she's been catapulted from relative obscurity after doing guest spots on television shows and minor roles in indie films via staring as a Mystique-esque superhero/antihero in the X-Squad films. Her face, in and out of copious amounts of blue paint, is well known to the public. Not much is known about her pre-series life, though one can make several inferences based on her own canonical admittance of being from Michigan and having three brothers who played hockey, along with the fact that the book's author deliberately based her character partially on Jennifer Lawrence, who filmed the X-Men prequel/reboot films in Montreal.
She's very down to earth in spite of her fame, and easily relates to hockey star, Shane Hollander, whom she briefly dates. They have much in common, from the fame that surrounds them to how much their bodies have become "hot commodities" in the industry via films, promotional campaigns, sponsorship deals, etc. Rose is the first person (beyond Ilya Rozanov) to figure out that Shane is gay and is immediately supportive, becoming his confidant and cheerleader, encouraging him to come out to his parents while unaware of his ten year situationship with Rozanov.
When Rose enters the Crucible, it will be in the middle of reshoots for the next X-Squad film, something she's not terribly thrilled about. It's very much implied that much like Jennifer Lawrence, Rose had (and continues to have) a terrible experience filming these movies.

THE BLUE GIRL is the manifestation of Rose's disdain for the film series that catapulted her to stardom and her fear of being typecast because of them. She is a doppelgänger of sorts, a harbinger of doom and bad luck who is trying to take the place of the person she's tormenting. Thus, the Blue Girl either appears as "herself" (which, consequently, is a deadringer for her X-Squad character) or the person she's tormenting — except with blue skin, vibrant red hair, and blank, bright yellow eyes. She drains the energy of her victims to make herself stronger and plays tricks on their friends and loved ones in a bid to turn them against her target.
To defeat the Blue Girl, one must trick her into looking into a mirror and seeing her own self reflected back. Only when faced with her own image instead of the one she's been desperately imitating will the Blue Girl retreat and cease her tormenting.
